At Kokoon, we encourage you to invest in fewer pieces of the highest quality to ensure longevity. We believe that your clothes are a long-term investment – for both you and the environment. Think of your silk/cashmere knits as an investment. Once that beauty is in your closet, it will last for years - as long as you know how to keep it in pristine condition.

WASH

Silk/cashmere knits doesn't need to be washed every time you wear it – just a few times per season is ideal. Instead, air out your cashmere between wear. It's better for your knits and the environment.

We recommend that you machine wash your silk/cashmere knits. That way, you can control the temperature of the cycle.

To machine wash, use the gentlest possible cycle and add a detergent that rinses clean and does not contain any dyes.

Remember to turn your silk/cashmere knit inside out before washing and place it in a mesh washing bag.

Once the cycle is complete, remove the knit to reduce creasing.

DRY

Lay it flat on a towel and gently coax it back into shape.

We don't recommend hanging your knit pieces, as they tend to 'grow' and lose shape when left to hang.

IRON

If you choose to iron, please use a steam iron and adjust the temperature accordingly. Set up the steam function on your iron and leave a 0.5 - 1cm gap to the knit when ironing.

PILE

Pilling occurs naturally and can easily be removed with a pilling comb or a fabric shaver.

All Kokoon knits are sold with a pilling comb.

Need a pilling comb? Stop by the store or contact us at info@kokoon.dk.

STORAGE

When you put your knits away for the summer, place them in an airtight container with cedar chips. The wood will help ward off moths and prevent mustiness.
